Consult a low voltage lighting professional if needed for installations requiring extended wire lengths beyond the provided wire length in the light kits. Extended wire lengths can add resistance and overall amp draw, which must be taken into account when calculating total load on the system. The recommended number of planter light fixture kits that each transformer size can support is below that which the transformers is rated, allowing for extended runs if necessary. The additional load on the transformer created by extended wire length varies based on length and size of wire used, therefor the installer must verify prior to installation that the load on the transformer does not exceed the load ratings set by the transformer manufacturer recommendations. Verify that correct wire size is used based on wire length needed to complete the connection, in conjunction with including the additional load on the system based on that wire length as well as wire size chosen.
